A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also had them long enough that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.

Where were you able to get your black golden goose sneakers pair?
I spotted mine on sale via Cettire and purchased them that way!
I ordered them on April 28th and they were shipped to me by April 30th, so the shipping was super fast – definitely a bonus
How expensive are they?
Back in April, I managed to get them for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.

How is the fit?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36.
Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.
Is the comfort worth it?
Very comfy, and only took a few hours to break in..
Do they hold up well?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They include a built-in arch bump that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is one of a kind. And the glitter on mine? Next-level.
Would you buy again?
Totally! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re not cheap, so getting them with a promo is smarter. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you get a pair you love. I chose a loud pair, but a neutral version would also be smart.

How comfy are they?
They felt good almost immediately. No-show socks help with the break-in period, especially since my feet get sweaty. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in synthetic materials. Bonus, they’re already softened so your feet just adjust easily.
How do they perform over time?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. Nothing has torn, and the structure feels strong.
Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
